News from Leadership Team

This week pupils at The Hill have made the most of the lovely weather exploring a range of travel training skills with visits to local parks. Pupils have focused on core vocabulary such as “stop”, “wait” and “go” when crossing the road safely. We also held a Mini Marathon which was supported by the Sherwood Foundation Charity. Pupils either completed the whole distance on the day or spread it over the week. It was fantastic to see so many pupils take part, and it has inspired us to explore the Daily Mile to support fitness and wellbeing.

News from the Leadership Team

We are delighted that seven learners have completed their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Enclosed Space Expedition at High Ashurst Outdoor Learning Centre this week. During their residential, the group took on challenges including the high ropes course, campfire cooking, archery, the climbing wall, team games and more. Each member of the group pushed themselves, faced their fears, and has passed this section of their Bronze Award. For many pupils, this was the first time staying away from home. We are very proud of them—fantastic work!
