The Children's Commissioner has launched The Big Future survey, giving children and young people the chance to share what it is like to grow up in England today. The findings will help inform the Government about how it can make life better for children.

News from Leadership Team
 Last week, we held our annual Graduation Ceremony for our ‘Movers’ (pupils moving to a different school or campus), ‘Shakers’ (pupils moving from Primary to Secondary) and our ‘Graduators’, who are leaving us at the end of their journey at school. It was a fantastic celebration attended by many families, where our Graduators were presented with their ASDAN qualifications and certificates. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and all they have achieved. The evening ended on a high with our field transformed into a celebration space featuring a bouncy castle and an inflatable arcade with VR headsets, consoles, games and much more.

Lower School News
 We have had two fantastic trips in Lower School this week. A number of pupils enjoyed a brilliant visit to Bocketts Farm, where they met the animals, enjoyed a tractor ride, explored the playground and had fun in the soft play area. Everyone did brilliantly, and we are very proud of them all. Other pupils enjoyed a visit to the Royal Academy of Dance.
Mint Class enjoyed exploring a range of cooling activities this week while learning about the concepts of ‘hot’ and ‘cold’. Pupils explored different fans, water and ice play, and made their own flavoured ice lollies and ice cubes, which they loved touching and tasting.
Olive Class enjoyed a range of community outings this week, with some pupils going swimming while others visited the Royal Academy of Dance. We also made the most of the warm weather with plenty of water play and cooling ice lollies.
Teal Class stayed cool with lots of water play and celebrated World Chocolate Day by making and enjoying delicious chocolate biscuits.

Middle School News
 Ocean Class had a wonderful week continuing to explore technology, with a strong focus on online safety. Through a range of hands-on activities and interactive lessons, pupils developed their understanding of digital literacy, problem-solving and the importance of password protection.
Capri Class has had a busy and engaging week. In numeracy, pupils explored subtraction by counting cotton reels, taking one away and recounting the remaining items. In life skills, pupils focused on kitchen safety, particularly identifying sharp and non-sharp tools. During wellbeing sessions, pupils enjoyed choosing and engaging in a range of sensory activities.
Sapphire Class has enjoyed a creative week, making chocolate cereal cakes by melting chocolate. To help keep cool and support regulation, pupils have also enjoyed bubble activities and foot spas.

Upper School News
 Lavender Class especially enjoyed our creative sessions this week. In art, pupils used air-dry clay to sculpt pots and figures, exploring different techniques and celebrating the uniqueness of each creation. In drama, pupils developed their superhero role-play skills, contributing ideas to build imaginative storylines together.
Violet Class has had a lovely week focusing on wellbeing, regulation, communication and life skills. Pupils enjoyed water play on the balcony with other Post-16 learners to help keep cool while developing their communication skills. They also had a fantastic dance session and finished the week by making flapjacks, practising mixing, spreading and baking.
Thistle Class have enjoyed cooling water play with themed tuff trays, paddling pools, spray bottles and water pistols while interacting with their classmates. Pupils also continued their plants topic, learning about the different parts of a plant, what plants need to grow and planting seeds. We were delighted to see our first sunflower reach 3 inches tall!
Lilac Class had a fantastic time during sensory maths this week, creating repeating colour patterns with large dominoes, pegs and lollipops. In sensory art, pupils made colourful chalk drawings while exploring colours and directional language such as up, down, side to side. We have also been incredibly impressed by the way pupils have shared, taken turns and negotiated with one another.

Ethan for developing his parallel play skills, welcoming others into his favourite activities and showing great flexibility with changes to routine.

Keshvi for embracing new ways to stay cool during the hot weather, supporting her self-regulation and overall wellbeing.
Therapy
Shaun C for fantastic communication during therapy, using his core board to make choices, request more and engage positively in shared play.

News from the Leadership Team
It has been another busy week at the Park Campus, with lots of exciting activities for both pupils and staff. Our pupils have enjoyed a number of trips this week, including a visit to Brighton, where everyone had a great time exploring and learning outside the classroom.
On Tuesday, Daisy Class led our assembly for Emmeline Pankhurst Day, sharing what they had learnt and helping us reflect on her achievements.
We also held another successful transition afternoon on Wednesday, welcoming some of our new pupils to Park Campus. It was lovely to see everyone settling in and getting to know their new environment.
Our Post-16 learners have been busy preparing for today's Leavers' Celebration. We are looking forward to celebrating everything they have achieved and wishing them every success for the future.

Lower School News
 The highlight of the week for Orchid Class was our trip to the park on Tuesday. We enjoyed spending time together and meeting pupils from across the school, as well as children and young people from local schools and colleges who had all come to enjoy the sunshine.
In Bluebell Class, pupils explored alternative art techniques by creating puffer fish using the back of a fork. Pupils also spent time looking back at photos and videos from the past year. It was wonderful to celebrate the fantastic progress and learning that has taken place, while sharing lots of laughs as we watched ourselves on screen. A huge congratulations to Ali and Hope, who performed so confidently at the Royal Academy of Dance. They overcame their nerves to showcase the dances they have learnt in dance therapy this term and should be incredibly proud of their achievement.
Hebe Class enjoyed lots of water play, messy play and a bubble party to help keep cool. Pupils also had a lovely session in Sam Space, showing great interest in what others were doing and joining in with their friends' activities.
Daffodil Class enjoyed making fruit kebabs and developing friendships with their peers this week. Pupils also met their new classmates and had a successful transition afternoon in their new classes.

Middle School News
 In Middle School this week, we have been looking ahead to the next academic year, with pupils enjoying opportunities to meet the staff and friends who will be in their classes next year. In Lily Class, pupils chose how they would like to be represented on their classroom boards, helping to make their new environment their own, and had great fun exploring the sensory story 'Under the Sea'.
Tulip Class kept cool during transition sessions by enjoying Play and Leisure lessons in the shade at the Manor Campus, while continuing to consolidate the skills they have developed throughout the year.
Poppy Class enjoyed football, explored capacity through water play, made their own playdough and took part in a range of regulation activities. In Sunflower Class, pupils were introduced to a new individualised repetitive rhythmic song to encourage peer engagement and sharing, before enjoying a shared reading session based on a familiar call-and-response story structure.

Upper School News
 Marigold Class has enjoyed a creative week, working together to paint life-sized gold Oscars for the Leavers' Prom. Pupils took on different roles, showed fantastic teamwork and created some wonderful decorations for the celebration.
Peony Class has had a fantastic week, ending the year with an unforgettable trip to Brighton. Pupils enjoyed a walk along the beach, a visit to the Sea Life Centre, games on the pier, fish and chips by the sea, and a special treat of ice cream and doughnuts. It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter and happy memories to round off an incredible year together.
Daisy Class has enjoyed a calm and relaxing week of learning. Pupils took part in intensive interaction, explored sensory stories about holidays and the seaside, and enjoyed cooling water play while watching beach scenes using the classroom computer and Magic Carpet projections.
Dahlia Class has had a lovely week preparing for the Leavers' Prom, where we look forward to celebrating our three leavers on Friday evening. Alongside the preparations, pupils have enjoyed music, ICT and a trip to the park, making it another fun and busy week.

News from the Leadership Team
 What an unbelievable and special week it has been at The Manor Campus! We moved most of our Sports Day activities indoors on Tuesday to beat the heat. The sense of fun, inclusion and celebration was tangible, felt by both staff and the families that joined us. We had as many family members as we had pupils, which was wonderful. Our pupils made us proud, taking part and most importantly, enjoying it.
We have had further transition sessions for new pupils which have been successful, with some coming during the school day and being warmly welcomed by our current classes. We have enjoyed a range of learning activities, including further learning about emulsion in science by making salad dressings. More learning about statistics by making graphs to represent our favourite movies and making fairy doors to place in Beddington Park, linked to our Enchanted Woodland topic.
