Support and Coaching

As part of our Pastoral Support offer we provide coaching for parents, carers and respite services as well as sibling support sessions.  These are generally delivered by our wellbeing practitioners and therapists but may also be offered by members of the teaching team, depending on the needs identified for individual children and their families.

Coaching for Parents, Carers & Respite Services

We offer parents, carers and respite services coaching in order to support effective carryover of strategies and learning at school into the home situation.  This is with the aim of  developing effective use of strategies and supporting parents/carers to adapt these for the home situation, enhancing family relationships, and improving their overall well-being as parents. It focuses on empowering parents to address challenges, build confidence, and improve outcomes for their child.

Sibling Sessions

We offer sibling support sessions. These sessions aim to provide support and resources to siblings of our pupils, helping them navigate the unique challenges and experiences they may face. These sessions aim to create a safe space for siblings to express their feelings, learn about their brother or sister's SEND, and develop coping mechanisms. These are generally in the areas of keeping themselves safe, learning to interact, communicate and play effectively with their sibling with SEND.
